The two exclusive promotions that were on offer this January were:
- Doyle’s Room $1500 Rake Race
- RedStar Poker Rake Chase
First of all, we would like to thank all the participants who took part in this event and congratulate all our winners.
To begin with, we will look at Doyle’s Room. Out of the $1500 on offer, there were ten winners, with the first place (hosocske89) taking home a nice $500 prize.
Hosocske89 managed to obtain a whopping 49% total cashback. Without the help of this promotion organized by Rakerace.com, hosocske89 would only have been able to obtain the standard 33% rakeback. By participating in our rake race, he was able to achieve an extra 16% return for his bankroll.
We have also calculated rake race cashback percentages for all other winners in the table below.
All other winners were able to achieve a minimum of 40% total cashback, with the highest return being 56% by R1per2.

Rakerace.com’s January promotion for RedStar Poker was a rake chase.
The window for opportunity was open in this promotion, but not many took advantage of this to earn some extra cash.
With only 4 players being visible on the leaderboard, many payout places were left empty. Meliusz took the first prize ($500) and managed to obtain a 49% total cashback.
In fact, all the players on the leaderboard managed to make over 46% total cashback return.
The following is a table of the payouts.

In conclusion, both promotions were a success, providing all players a 40% total cashback return and higher.
It is important to note, from the data collected we can see, the lower raking players (below $400 MGR) in Doyle’s Room would have been better off at RedStar’s Rake Chase. The reason for this is that Doyle’s Room only provided 6-7% cashback for the lower places of the leaderboard, whereas RedStar was offering 13%. That is an extra 7%, around double what they were able to obtain in Doyle’s Room and with many positions available, open to be payed out.
All in all, players should take into account their gameplay and rake generated to find the promotion that suits them best.
Further information on these types of promotion can be found in our previous article, To Rake Race Or To Rake Chase?
Doyle’s Room and RedStar are part of the Cake Poker Network.
Good luck for February, don’t miss out on some of our hot new promotions!
