VIP Reward Bonuses
VIP Reward Bonuses purchased in the VIP Shop mean instant cash rewards for players (this change has been in effect since 1st October, 2010).
Supernova and Supernova Elite
As of 1st January, 2011 PokerStars changed the Milestone Cash Credit program as regards the Supernova and Supernova Elite levels. Rewards available at certain Milestones are now available for 1 FPP each, instead of the 50,000 FPP they had cost earlier. Consequently, Cash Credits have been lowered by $800 to reflect the changes. Please note that the values of the rewards have not been changed, the modifications aim only to simplify the system.
Also, the first Milestone Cash Credit is rewarded after 200,000 VPPs; the 100,000 VPP Milestone has been removed to the VIP Stellar Rewards program, where it became its last level, worth $200 per 1 FPP.
Supernova Milestone Cash Credits available for 1 FPP each
$2,600 at 200,000 VPPs
$2,800 at 300,000 VPPs

Further changes in the SNE
From January, 2011 on, players reaching SNE status receive a $20,000 Milestone Cash Credit instead of the option to choose between two packages for major live events or one package and an additional $10,000 cash reward. They remain eligible for discounts at major PokerStars tournaments, registering via the VIP Shop. The site promises extraordinarily favourable conditions of registration for SNE players to the PCA and the EPT Grand Finale events. Players reaching Supernova Elite status in 2010 are not affected by the changes.
Micro Stakes NL and PL
VPPs are awarded for microstakes Pot Limit and No Limit players according to the chart below:
$0.01/$0.02: 10x
$0.02/$0.05: 8.5x
$0.05/$0.10: 7x
€0.01/€0.02: 12.5x
€0.02/€0.05: 10.5x
€0.05/€0.10: 9x
This does not mean, however, that players are awarded 7 to 10 times more VPPs as before. Standard multiplier for VPPs is 6 for 8-handed or bigger cash tables and 5.5 for the rest. In other words, if a player accumulates points with a 10x multiplier at a $0.01/$0.02 9-handed table, he or she will receive 67% more VPPs than earlier (10/6).
Summary
It is clear that no major changes took place in the PokerStars VIP Club; it has only been polished a bit. We wish good luck for all the PokerStars players in 2010 as well!
