Viktor Blom
The two northern pros sat down at the four (two $50/$100 NLHE and two $50/$100 PLO) tables yesterday afternoon. The first big pot was won by Terken89, he went pre-flop all-in with A K , Blom called with T T , but the ace fell, and Blom was set back. However, Blom quickly took the lead with his massively agressive style; he defended himself quite well against his opponent's mid-raising strategy.
Isildur1 took the lead soon. Terken89 opened with $200 in an NLHE hand, Isildur1 3bet to $800, Terken89 called. The flop came Q 7 6 . Isildur1 bet $1,000, Terken89 called, just as he called his turn $2,450 bet seeing the 8s. They pushed their stacks in on the river, which came 8 . Terken89 has shown Q T , but he fell short to the 5 4 straight Isildur1 held.
The Swedish PokerStars pro already lead by $46 after 400 hands, and after 1145 hands Terken89 had already used all his add-ons. By the 1561st hand the game only commenced at one NLHE table. The game was soon over, the final hand started with the $300 raise of Isildur1, which Terken89 3bet to $1,000. Isildur went all-in, Terken89 called.
Isildur1: 9 9
Terken89: A J
Board: 6 6 7 Q 8
Isildur won the Showdown with two pairs.
Terje Augdal
Even though luck was on Viktor Blom's side, we can't say he wasn't better; he clearly outplayed his opponent, which makes him a 9-2 winner in the SuperStars Showdown so far, and he booked a total profit of $651,941.
However, the two grinders seem to be good friends though, Augdal didn't seem to be that upset at his opponent in the chat:
"coming out tonight?" he asked. "maybe, was out yesterday, a bit hungover. u in london?" replied Blom. "yeah, drinks on u obv," Augdal replied.
Isildur1's next opponent is yet to be announced.
