High Stakes May 2013 - Cottonseed1 the Biggest Winner

The high stakes action in May fell short of our expectations and the average of the previous months, however, a few players managed to score big nonetheless. Kyle 'cottonseed1' Hendon emerges as the only player who scored a seven-figure income.

The Omaha Hi/Lo expert kept true to his specialization, he won almost all the money at Omaha Hi/Lo tables.

The second on the month's profit list came to be FTP pro Gus Hansen with $829,140 profit. The Great Dane started the year as the biggest loser of the year with $2,803,666, so this victory means a lot to recover his losses. Now he's only down to -$1,974,526, which means he's no longer the biggest loser for the year; his place is taken by Phil 'Polarizing' Ivey (-$2,297,409) and samrostan (-$2,111,644). Hansen made much of his profits at Omaha Hi/Lo tables as well.

The third biggest score was achieved by Ben 'Bttech86' Tollerene, who earned $778,749, mostly in PLO games.

The unluckiest player in May came to be Kyle 'KPR' Ray who pushed exactly $1,006,475 to his opponents.

The biggest pot of the day was pushed to the center in the heads-up PLO match of Viktor 'Isildur1' Blom and Ben 'Sauce1234' Sulsky on May 8th. The two players split the $536,357. The biggest pot won was $400,403, and happened in the very same match.
