The WPT Prime is part of the World Poker Tour series, created to provide an international tournament series that is more accessible to a wider audience compared to the main WPT circuit, which primarily takes place in the United States. The latest stop of the WPT Prime, WPT Cambodia, is being held at the NagaWorld Integrated Resort in Phnom Penh from February 6 to 24. One of the highlight events of the series, the $1,100 No Limit Hold'em (NLHE) tournament, took place from February 14 to 18.
Over three starting days, a total of 1,484 entries were recorded, generating a $1,487,600 prize pool. The tournament winner received $233,680, which included a $10,400 WPT World Championship seat.
Patrik Demus (patr1ckz), an MTT coach at RakeRace.com, delivered an outstanding performance, making it to the final day. The tournament’s last day started with 13 remaining players, and Patrik entered with 8,250,000 chips (66 big blinds), placing fourth in the chip count. Soon after, he advanced to the final table.

Liu was the first player eliminated at the final table, followed by Maguire and Carvalho. At this point, a tense battle developed among the six remaining players, with stacks shrinking to 30–40 big blinds due to the long period without eliminations. Patrik was short-stacked multiple times but managed to recover through steals and smaller pots.
This phase ended with Yuan Yu's elimination. He shoved from the small blind with offsuit Q-4, and Puchalski called with offsuit Q-J, winning with the superior kicker.
Yita Choong followed shortly after, pushing his last 9 big blinds with suited 10-6. Khorshad Sagor called with pocket nines, which held up.
Soon after, Yannick Jobin was eliminated, also by Sagor. This left three players in contention with the following chip stacks:
- Khorshad Sagor - 23,550,000 (47 bb)
- Alexander Puchalski - 28,075,000 (56 bb)
- Demus Patrik - 7,700,000 (15 bb)
Patrik’s Final Hand
In hand #151 of the final table, during level 34 (250,000/500,000-500,000), Patrik had just 7 big blinds left. From the small blind, he shoved with offsuit J-2. Sagor called from the big blind with suited J-6. The board ran out K-T-T-3-4, and since Sagor's kicker was higher, he won the pot, eliminating Patrik in 3rd place.
Patrik’s Career-Best Score!
With this deep run, Patrik Demus achieved the biggest cash of his career, taking home $111,200. Congratulations!
