Ashton Griffin
The terms of the extraordinary bet were simple: if Griffin could run 70 miles (a little less than 3 marathons) on a treadmill in 24 hours, he would win $300,000. Also, walking did not count towards the 70 miles. However, if he couldn't make it, he would have to pay 900,000.
Griffin agreed to the terms, and jumped into the contest right away, despite having very little sleep the night before, and without any preparation at all. Since he is a college level wrestler, he managed to finish the challenge with only 45 minutes left. This is an outstanging performance on its own, usually marathon runners confine themselves to running only 1 marathon per day, while Griffin managed to run almost 3 of them.
According to 'BoostedJ', Griffin managed to negotiate another prop bet, now at the expense of Haseeb Qureshi.
We hereby congratulate Ashton Griffin for his outstanding achievement!
