Poker coach Danny ’d2themfi’ Isaacson claims that Daniel ‘jungleman12’ Cates sold his Full Tilt Poker bankroll, not long after the Black Friday of online poker.
Danny ’d2themfi’ Isaacson, instructor of the LeggoPoker coaching site, has recently posted something of particular interest in one of the Macedo Scandal threads on 2p2. He claims that on the occasion of a dinner with him, Haseeb ‘godishead’ Qureshi and other players, Cates told him that he had sold his Full Tilt Poker bankroll.

“JM being stuck $ on FTP after BF, when we had dinner with him and haseeb in in Austin in late april right after BF, JM said that he had sold his FTP account balance (I believe for 85% but i cant remember). We then asked him if he sold it to Durrrr, and his response was (paraphrasing) "Someone like that" and we left it at that,” Isaacson wrote in the forum.

Cates was the biggest winner of 2010 at the FTP high stakes tables, earning $5.5 million and he had around $6 million stuck on his account. This piece of information was published by Mike Matusow, who happened to reveal how much money certain players had stuck on FTP and spoke about $6 million regarding Cates.

If it is true that he received 85% of that amount, it means around $5.1 million. With this he has made an excellent deal as FTP and other bankrolls are nowadays sold at a considerably more reduced price. That said, some top pros are also known to have offered theirs for sale; for instance, Isaac ‘Ike’ Haxton tried to get rid of his $300,000 at UB for 80% lately.
