Gus Hansen
Hansen chose his players through a competition; 18 players fulfilled the requirements from the 100 candidates.
The 18 players are:
Aske Muff
Simon Borg
Vera Kelleher
Rune Mark Vester
Jaroslav Tjepan
Morten Ahrensbach
Donald Sakellaries
Lasse Sørensen
Nicholas Liljegren
Kim Frederiksen
Dan Larsen
Thomas Theis
Jonas Hüttel
Claus Nielsen
Lars Houmark
Soren Blanner
Philip Jacobsen
Klaus Rasmussen
"Team Hansen" sprung into action on Day 1B, but the majority of the players started on Day 1C. Hansen wanted 10 of their players to start Day 2 with an above average stack. Lasse Sørensen starts the second day with 48.050, from 1C, Aske Muff with 81.250, Morten Ahrensbach with 80.250, Simon Borg with 78.125, and Vera Kelleher with 26.550.
It's not impossible that other players have made it to the second day, since official WSOP chipcounts do often contain typos.
Gus Hansen needs to make at least $200,000 to break even on his sponsored players, however it is not clear whether he paid for their full accomodation, or just the buy-in for the Main Event.
