How to Play VPP Ring
You must opt in to play VPP Ring. You can do this by registering for a dummy tournament in the PokerStars lobby, under the ‘Tourney’ and ‘Regional’ tabs. Registration runs April 11-May 1. Remember, this is a dummy tournament, so no actual poker game will be played.
You then have five weeks, April 18-May 22, to earn as many VPPs as you can. You earn VPPs every time you play a hand, and you can maximise the amount of VPPs you earn by following a few simple rules.

- Play higher limits
- Play action tables, like Limit games
- Play more tables
You can rack your progress on the VPP Ring Rankings page, which displays the top 600 players, and will be updated four times a week.

If you haven’t played ring games at PokerStars before, this is the perfect way to start. You can buy in to games for as little as $0.80, and they are listed under the ‘Hold’em’, ‘Omaha’, ‘Stud’ and ‘Other Games’ tabs in the lobby.
