Sega Says Goodbye

Sega has closed down its online poker and casino sites. Both offerings have been launched this March and were powered by Playtech. On the site they offered 125 games including slots, blackjack, poker, and themed Sega games such as Virtua Fighter and House of the Dead.

Now all there is on the site is a note to existing customers:

"We are no longer accepting registration/deposits from your jurisdiction.
Existing customers - if you are an existing Sega Games customer, please click
here to access your account to withdraw your funds. All remaining funds will
be automatically credited back to your deposit method, effective September 15th."

Sega's example shows just how difficult it is even for one of the biggest gaming ventures to set foot in the online gambling business.
