The Everest saga continues. Following a severe traffic loss during the last 6 months (30-40% in both the Malta licensed .com and the ARJEL licensed .fr clients), the Everest Poker management decided to move to the iPoker Network. The switch took sime time, but it finally happened.
It was announced in September that iPoker separates its rooms into two distinct tiers on the basis of their traffic. They have been grading their rooms since 1 July. The requirement for a poker skin to be a part of the network was at least 6,000 active cash players a month, (with $1 rake generated) and 850 new cash players each month, but the fish to regular ratio was also considered.
Everest Poker's switch happened on 30 October, not without problems. Many players complained that their bankrolls or Summit points disappeared. Also, users of the new iPoker Everest client could see and play the regular tier tables as well, even though Everest Poker is only part of the top tier.
iPoker is once again the second biggest in the poker room/network hierachy thanks to Everest Poker, with a 15% traffic increase, the network overtook PartyPoker.
