“We believe the change will allow us to manage our poker room more effectively and ultimately allow for fairer distribution of bonuses across the network,” PartyPoker explained.
The room currently offers five VIP levels: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Palladium and Palladium Elite.
Current Key Levels are as follows:
Current Rewards can be seen below:
The Palladium Elite $75,000 Poker Bonus is the equivalent of a 50% rakeback, which can be further enhanced to up to 65% with the different monthly promotions. This is about the same offer as PokerStars’ Supernova Elite.
Palladium Elite rewards below the 30% rakeback equivalent cap, namely the $3,500 and $15,000 cash bonuses, will be part of the Palladium level from 1 April.
“Quarter one in 2013 (ie, 1st January, 2013, until 31st March, 2013) will be the final quarter in which players can achieve ‘Palladium Elite’ status. For the duration of quarter one, Palladium Elite players and those who achieve this status will be able to purchase Palladium Elite Store bonuses. From 1st April, 2013, the maximum VIP level a player can achieve will be ‘Palladium’, meaning players will no longer be able to purchase the $20,000 poker bonus, $50,000 cash bonus and $75,000 poker bonus. The $3,500 cash and $15,000 cash (30% rakeback equivalent) will still be available,” the PartyPoker home page reads.
Bwin.party has already announced that one of their priorities is the optimisation of their player pool quality, which means the necessity to have more recreational players in their rooms. The withdrawal of the Palladium Elite level is part of this process, as was the removal of the PartyPoker high stakes tables in July 2012.
