The iPoker network issued an official explanation on 1 May, according to which the popular feature, favoured by sponsors and the sponsored above all, was only shut down temporarily. In the release, it was not properly clarified, why the necessity to suspend the player to player transfers, except for some “security concerns”. Unofficial sources claim that iPoker is taking steps against money laundering.
The player to player transfers have always been a bit complicated at iPoker, as the sender had to know the name and e-mail address of the recipient and the latter had to have an account of the same currency as the sender’s.
The iPoker network is currently placed 3rd in the .com rooms/networks traffic list. In the past period, several improvements have been introduced, including the introduction of anonymous tables, as well as a new mobile client, a multi-level VIP loyalty system and new tournament structures.
