Microgaming has officially announced that one of their leading rooms, PAF Poker is the first to roll out the new, downloadable, Mac OS compatible client of the network. The software operates in the Adobe Air framework and can be used with Mac operating systems. Being offered the same functionality as the instant play variant, Apple users can now access Hold’em cash games, Sit n’ Gos and scheduled tournaments on their devices and in a native software environment.
“We are delighted to be the first MPN operator to go live with the Mac-compatible download software. We know that our players who have Apple devices have been waiting for a downloadable client for some time, and now that we’ve joined the MPN, we are better able to meet our customers’ needs,” PAF Head of Poker Herbert Paradis said, according to the Microgaming press release announcing the launch.
The Mac client is but one of Microgaming’s software platforms, which aim to offer solutions compatible with every player’s device. The MPN portfolio includes a downloadable PC client, a web-based Flash client and a state of the art HTML5 client, for the mobile environments.
“Mac users are an important segment, but for years operators have been turning them away because they haven’t had dedicated software. The MPN is one of only a few networks to offer a Mac-specific client and we are excited to see the uptake from players,” Microgaming Head of Network Games Lydia Melton says.
