Pretty much every day we get contacted by PokerStars regulars who say they've had enough with the room's practices and who are looking for a new room to play in, but not sure where.
If you are also thinking about changing rooms, Unibet Poker is certainly an option to take into account.
High returns and exclusive cash races
Unibet is a leading force in the sportsbetting business and they also operate a very popular standalone poker client.
This January, Unibet pays out €4,000 to Rakerace.com players in our two €2,000 exclusive cash races. There are 20 payings spots on each leaderboard with a €500 first place prize (the first race of the year ended on the 16th and was won by komorac_zg).
Increased exclusive race prize pool
Unibet decided to raise the stakes from February to €5,000 total, which means players can compete in 2x €2,500 exclusive cash races. The number of paying spots doesn't change, but players can now compete for a €600 first place prize (the runner-up will receive €500 instead of €400 and so on).
Unibet has also guaranteed the increased prize pools for March aswell, you can check out the exact payouts and other details of the race below:

Loyalty Program and First Deposit Bonus
In addition to the raceback returns, players can earn further returns with the Unibet Poker Loyalty Program and the first deposit bonus.
Cash game returns cannot be exactly calculated because the returns - quite uniquely - are not based on rake but on various Challenges. Players receive a smaller (Minor) and a bigger (Major) Challenge. As soon as a player completes a Challenge, they will receive points based on the size of the Challenge. Players can exchange their points for cash prizes, tickets, bonuses or Unibet Open live tournament packages.
Players can gather points for 3 months after which the counter is set back to zero with players receiving new Challanges.
This calculation is only relevant to cash game players, MTT and SNG players will receive 100 points for every €1 in fees. The points can be gathered for 3 months, after this players will receive a return percentage of up to 41%.
Unibet players can also take advantage of the fix €200 first deposit bonus for further returns. The ''fix bonus'' means that you don't have to deposit €200 to claim the bonus, the bonus activates with the first deposit and players have 60 days to grind it out.
The bonus provides an average return of 25%, you can check out further details on the room review page.
Recreational players
Unibet is 11th on the .COM/.EU market traffic list, last week there were an average of 600 cash game players playing in the room. The Challenge-based rewards system draws in a huge number of recreational players to the tables so experienced players should be able to achieve a very nice winrate, however the room is not very multi-tabling friendly.
Players are allowed to change their nicknames every day, hand histories are not available and HUDs are banned. This room is a great choice for players who generally play a lower number of tables and don't rely on a HUD so much. Cashouts are quickly processed and reliable in the room.
