We have already written about the Grand Prix Poker Tour (GPPT), a live tournament series sponsored by Partypoker. This season of the GPPT has a total of 11 stops including London, Manchester, Newcastle and Leeds.
The GPPT occasionally also makes an online stop and the next one will take place between April 2 -3 with a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool.
Partypoker decided to organize a total of thirteen Day 1 events around the clock between April 2 -3 to give players from every time zone a chance to qualify to the huge event.
Day 1A of the GPPT will kick off at 10:00 (CEST) on April 2 and will be followed by additional Day 1s starting every two hours. On April 3, players can compete in six more Day 1 tournaments including a 6-max Last Chance Turbo tournament (Day 1M).
Players can play multiple Day 1s and advance with their biggest stack. All players who qualify through a Day 1 will continue in the GPPT Online Final Day tournament which kicks off at 20:00 CET on April 3.
On the Final Day the blind levels will be increased so there is more room to play when the payouts really start to get big.
If multi-day events prove successful, they might be introduced in the monthly Partypoker schedule, said Tom Waters, a Partypoker executive.
In April, Rakerace.com players can also participate in a $3,000 exclusive cash race at Partypoker, check out the details here!
