Pure Poker and rebuy tournaments on Partypoker

Partypoker introduced a new structure and removed re-entry options for all No Limit Hold'em tournaments and introduced rebuy tournaments, including a $109 rebuy with a $30,000 guarantee.

As we have previously reported, Partypoker will be organizing the second Powerfest tournament series with $7,800,000 in guaranteed prize pools between May 1 - 22. After the announcement of the series, the room implemented severl changes to its tournament schedule.

In the past few months, Partypoker has been running several of their Wednesday tournaments in the so called Pure Poker format, which meant a different structure and no re-entry options. The format was a big success and Partypoker has decided to run every tournament (except High Rollers) in this format.

 

Players will now battle for the prizes with 30,000 startings chips (75/150 starting blind level) and 15 minute blind levels and without re-entries.

We have recently reported that PokerStars is now charging a rake for all rebuys and add-ons in rebuy tournaments, which led to a large number of regulars removing these tournaments from their schedule.

Partypoker decided to go after these players and has announced the introduction of several rebuy tournament to its schedule, including a $109 rebuy tournament with a $30,000 guarantee.
