According to Andrew West lottery-style Sit & Gos don't have a big future because not enough people win in the game.
Unibet Poker left the Microgaming (MPN) network two years ago, launching their own client. The room has been rapidly expanding ever since, not long ago they even became a poker network after Pokerihuone left MPN to join them.
Pokerfuse interviewed the head of Unibet's poker section, Andrew West to ask him about the company's future and about current industry trends.
Lottery-style Sit & Gos have become very popular in the past few years and almost all rooms have rolled out their own version of the game, but according to West, Unibet is not planning on introducing such games.
West told Pokerfuse that while lottery SNGs are fun, the variance is too big and very few people can actually profit from the games. Also, players with various softwares can achieve huge edges in the game so the games are not very safe.
West is very optimistic towards the company's future, they have managed to increase their traffic by 100% in 20 months and are looking to catch up to the bigger rooms very soon.
According to PokerScout, Unibet is currently in 8th place on the .COM/.EU leaderboard based on cash game traffic.
