The site apologises for last Sunday's collapse by adding $2,000,000 to next Sunday's schedule.
The new Power Series kicked off on the 4th of March at Partypoker, with the biggest ever PKO tournament series in the history of the site. However, it didn't go as planned, because of a malfunction in one of the servers, which resulted in a massive system crash. Players were unable to connect to the site and all of the ongoing events were canceled.
The whole community was mad and curious about what happened, and fortunately it only took one day for the staff at Partypoker to solve the occurring issues. They recognize how great of an impact this failure had on their players and apologised in an announcement. But they didn't only acknowledge their mistake, they offered all of the players a huge compensation on top of the refunded tournament buy-ins.
They promised to run the new Power Series as advertised without reducing the guarantees. In addition to this, they also added additional tournaments and increased guarantees to next Sunday's Power Series schedule, totaling $2,000,000 extra in the prize pools.
They will add a $1,000,000 GTD, $5,200 PKO event at 7 pm, increase the guaranteed prize pool of the Super Sunday Bounty Hunter to $1,000,000 instead of the original $200,000 meaning a +$800K boost for only one tournament. Partypoker also doubles the GTD of the $55 Sunday Bounty Hunter from $100,000 up to $200,000! The $11 Bounty Hunter will run with a $50,000 GTD instead of $20,000 and the $2.20 Bounty Hunter with a $20,000 instead of $5,000.
The three canceled ladies event will run at 7 pm GMT next Sunday as well.
