The high-stakes legend has made millions of dollars playing the highest stakes online for long years, under the famous nicknames OMGClayAiken and MrSweet28. After distancing from the game he announced his ambitious goal to open his own online poker site, back in 2016. The project has been delayed several times, but it looks like Phil and his team finally sees the light at the end of the tunnel.
The high-stakes pro outlined the importance of a poker room where winnings players are not hunted by the site and the conditions are fair, the integrity of the games is unquestionable.
Galfond and his team announced some breaking news about their ongoing project of setting up their own poker room, Run It Once Poker. They've already begun a private beta and the poker client should be open to the public from the summer.
According to their statement, the site will roll out in two phases, offering only cash games at the start.
There wasn't much information released about Phase 2 either than SNG offering and innovative tournament experience. The high stakes veteran promised to include "awesome nosebleed stakes offering" in the latter Phase.
