The current Czech regulation came into effect almost two years ago, and Partypoker will be the second operator to launch an online poker room in the country.
GVC's online poker room withdrew its license application a year ago, stating the country's regulation is not in compliance with the European Union's.
Partypoker got the license via King's Casino, which is listed as the operator for the online services on Partypoker.cz - a site which appeared on the recently updated list of licensed gambling operators published by the Finance Ministry.
It is expected that the .cz site's player pool will be shared with the dot-com market, which includes sites in the UK, Denmark, Bulgaria and Belgium, Russia, German and Scandinavian and South American countries.
Poker formats involving jackpot element (like Spin & Go games) are prohibited, but there is still a wide variety of formats allowed with the likes of regular and fast-forward cash games, tournaments, PKO tournaments etc.
The license was granted on November 10th and Partypoker.cz is expected to go live in the following weeks. As of this time, Partypoker issued no official announcement regarding the exact date of the kick-off.
Partypoker still offers players cash backs up to 40% and our players are eligible for our exclusive €4,000 race!
