partypoker has been going extremely strong on their #fairplay project, with an ambitious goal of creating the safest and most fair online poker environment.
After already banning hundreds of bot accounts in the first half of the year, they now added 121 additional accounts to the list. They seized $175,000 which is being refunded to the players. 89 of the accounts came from the dot-com network, while 32 from the do-EU sites.
“The poker room continues to invest in resources aimed at safeguarding the safety of its players,” a press released issued this week reads, “spearheaded by a specialist Poker Fraud Team comprising a collection of former poker professionals whose duty is to investigate suspicious activity and aid partypoker in ridding the site of unscrupulous accounts.”
Since last December, when the data was first released, the site has taken down 601 bot accounts and refunded $1.2 million to its players, meaning a monthly average of 75 accounts and $147,000.
“Two years ago it wouldn’t have been possible [to ban tracking tools], but after seeing the security department first hand, the team working there and the tools they are using, I’m very confident now that they can tackle people trying to play against the rules,” Patrick Leonard, partypoker ambassador, said in April.
