In addition to the Main Event, a number of side events are planned, including the most anticipated €25,000 High Roller and the €100,000 Super High Roller – 8-Max tournaments, as well as the €2,150 Chinese – Open Face, the €1,100 PL Big “O” (5-card O8) and the €1,100 NLH/NLO/NLO8 events, to name a few of the more exotic ones.
The Main Event and the Super High Roller will be streamed live and, for the first time in the history of the series, there will be two broadcast teams at the venue, making it possible to follow the High Roller and the €5,300 NL 8-handed tournaments as well, in addition to a recap on the biggest cash games running during the events.
This is all the more interesting as a very unconventional cash game is under preparation: an €1,000/€2,000 NLHE match with a buy-in of €1,000,000. Even though the game is not yet finalised, if it is held, it will be scheduled to 11 May on an 8-handed table. So far, Sam Trickett, Paul Newey, Philipp Gruissem, Isaac Haxton and Niklas ‘ragen70’ Heinecker have expressed their interest in playing such a game.
“It's not often you get an opportunity to play in a game this big, so obviously that's pretty exciting,” Haxton told PokerStars.
In case the gargantuan cash game match is realised, we will cover it for you here at Rakerace.com.
