Final table with all the players
8 players started the final table of the EPT London tournament's $5,000 Main Event, with varying chip counts:
Chair 1: David Vamplew - 3,670,000
Chair 2: Tom Marchese - 1,480,000
Chair 3: Fernando Brito - 1,100,000
Chair 4: Per Ummer - 1,245,000
Chair 5: Artur Wasek - 2,250,000
Chair 6: Kayvan Payman - 1,295,000
Chair 7: Kyle Bowker - 7,165,000
Chair 8: John Juanda - 7,075,000
Per Ummer was the first to depart, followed by Tom Marchese, the Portuguese Fernando Brito, Kayvan Payman and the Polish giant, Artur Wasek. Three-handed, it was nearly impossible to predict who will win. Kyle Bowker missed his chance of playing the final heads-up with an unlucky hand against Juanda. He showed pocket J's against Juanda's pocket T's, and with an unlucky twist Juanda hit a flush with his ten of clubs.
The final heads-up between Vamplew and Juanda
The final heads-up between Vamplew and Juanda lasted more than 4 hours, Vamplew managed to overcome his short stack versus Juanda (5,595,000 against 19,660,000), he doubled up two times with lower cards during the game. The final hand came about when Vamplew being the chip leader, Juanda went all in with 3,400,000 with K 2 , and Vamplew called. Vamplew had A 3 , and the board came 3 , A , Q , 9 , 6 . The young Scottish pro won the main prize of Ł900,000 and his first tournament with his two pairs.
