Daniel Negreanu started the final table being the chipleader at the European Poker Tour Vienna last Sunday in the capital of Austria. The PokerStars Pro, who according to his twitter had a hard time finding the casino, set out to win his first EPT title, claiming his "Triple Crown" (a WSOP, a WPT and an EPT first place) that only Roland de Wolfe and Gavin Griffin could win so far.

Bruno Launais was to first to leave the table, running into Cainelli's pocket rockets. At level 28 Matthias Lotze also had to stand up, Cainelli bested his pocket tens with pocket jacks. He was followed by Andreas Weise, and then came an interesting hand that changed the state of the whole game:

From the hijack seat, Cainelli bet to 290,000 which was called by both Negreanu and Hruby. The flop came 8-5-K, where Cainelli's continuation bet of 725,000 was again called by both. The turn brought a nine, that made Cainelli go all-in, which was once again called by Negreanu and Hruby. Cainelli's pocket aces were drawing dead, and Negreanu's K-9 was also weak against Hruby's straight. Cainelli was eliminated in fifth place.

Negreanu could not recover from his serious chip loss, and was the next to be out. The final heads-up came about when Hruby eliminated Nanos, who showed K high againtst Nanos' Q high.

Hruby quickly lost his significant chip lead to Eiler, leading to the german's chip lead after ther first half hour of the heads-up. Deciding to end the tournament, Hruby went all-in with pocket deuces, which Elier called with A-10 of diamonds. The flop came all diamonds, and the young online pro soon won his first EPT title, for which he got €700,000.
