PCA winner Galen Hall started at the EPT Grand Final €25,000 High Roller final table as chipleader, but he was far from being the single favourite of the event, as several of the biggest names of poker have made it to the final eight.
The setup of the final table was as follows:

Despite Spindler was up 3:1 against ‘ElkY’ at the beginning of the HU, the French doubled up soon with a jacks overpair against his opponent’s tens top pair – king kicker, just before taking the lead in a mucked hand. Eventually, a cooler finished the tournament: ‘ElkY’ shoved on the2 9 4 J 9 board, Spindler called with K 9 but the French held 9 4 for a full house.
