As we wrote yesterday, 52 players started Day 4 of the WPT Championship $25,500 Main Event. Sam el Sayed was the chipleader with 1,107,000 chips. Of course there were many famous players at the tables, and of course the infamous Ali Tekintamgac, who was disqualified from the Partouche Poker Tour for cheating.

To the pleasure of many, Tekintamgac was eliminated quite soon, he didn't even reach a money finish, Doyle Brunson eliminated him on 37th. Doyle went all in on the {#}A {#}T {#}4 flop with {#}K {#}Q, Tekintamgac called with {#}A {#}T two pairs. The turn came {#}8, but the river brought the {#}7, Bruson made his flush. Tekintamgac only had 5,000 chips left, a small blind, he was out the next hand.

The first on the WPT Leaderboard, Andy Frankenberger was also eliminated, who went all-in with {#}A {#}6 against Kwinsee Tran's {#}A {#}J. on the {#}A {#}K {#}9 {#}K {#}8 board, Tran won with better kicker.

Hafiz Khan was eliminated on the bubble with pocket aces, Justin Young made a set with his pocket jacks. All players were in the money now.

15 players remained and will start Day 5, the chipleader is this year's PCA winner, Galen Hall. Sam el Sayed dropped to the second place, but many big names are still in, we expect a very tough final table. The future of the WPT Player of the Year award is unclear, with the elimination of the leader Frankenberger, Sam el Sayed and Shannon Shorr both have the chance of taking over. They need to finish 4th or best to beat Frankenberger.
