First out was Paolo Compagno, followed by David Baker a couple of hands later. WSOP 2005 $2,000 Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo champion Denis Ethier got railed next in Stud by Steury, who then moved on to eliminate Ron Ware as well in Hold’em. It was also him to send Jonathan Tamayo to the rail, calling his all-in in Omaha-8.
With the elimination of Adam Friedman, Steury and Chow were left to play heads-up, but it was over in an instant with the first major hand of the session (Stud-8):
Steury: (A 8 ) A 6 K 3 (5 )
Chow: (J J ) 3 5 8 T (2 )
Aaron Steury
Steury won with a pair of aces. ‘NDGrinder’ has participated in WSOP championships since 2008, and this is his first bracelet ever. The end results are seen below.
