WSOP Main Event: Lenaghan Is in the Chiplead

The 2011 WSOP Main Event enters Day 7 on Monday, 18th July with 57 players remaining in the contest for the ultimate poker title, the WSOP Main Event Champion’s. Yesterday, Event Day 6 brought about a major set of eliminations.
WSOP 2011 Event #58 $10,000 NLHE Championship Day 6 started with 148 players left of the 6,865 entrants of Days 1A-1D. With 4,706,000 in chips, David Bach had the lead but 26-year-old pro Phil Collins was the first to cross the 10,000,000 mark. Although both Bach and Collins have lost chips by the end of the day, they are still in for Day 7, along with Ben Lamb, James Page, JP Kelly, David Sands, Erick Lindgren and, of course, chipleader James Lenaghan, among others.

Notable players eliminated during yesterday’s play include WSOP 2010 3rd finisher Joseph Cheong, Peter Feldman and Eli Elezra. At least $130,997 await those who drop out today but without doubt, all players are now after the ultimate goal, the gold and diamond bracelet for the World Champion, along with the $8,711,956 first prize.
