As usual, the tourney this year features quite a number of poker celebrities form around the globe; Viktor ‘Isildur1’ Blom, Jason Mercier, Joe Cada, Jonathan Duhamel, Joe Hachem, Ivan Demidov, JP Kelly, Lex Veldhuis, Eugene Katchalov, Johnny Lodden, David Williams, Humberto Brenes, Liv Boeree, Vanessa Selbst, Ignat ‘0human0’ Liviu, Keven ‘Stammdog’ Stammen and Daniel Negreanu are among the stars to hit the felt in the casino rooms of Hilton Metropole Hotel.
Although the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) 2011, starting 12th October, will not be held in London as in the previous years but in Cannes, France, the upcoming days are nevertheless deserving the title “London Poker Festival,” as the EPT London offers a tempting variety of side events as well. In addition to the smaller buy-in events, a £2,150 European 8 Game Championship, a £5,250 NLHE Heads-Up, a £10,300 NLHE High Roller (Turbo, 6-max), a £20,500 NLHE High Roller (8-max) and a PokerStars SuperNova Elite invitational event will also be featured.
With five side events, the tourney launched on Thursday, 29th September.
