Another starry finale was held on Day 3 of Event #7 $1,500 Seven Card Stud in this year’s World Series of Poker (WSOP). David Williams (493,500), Andy Bloch (296,500) and Barry Greenstein (254,000) led the field in the final table.

Joseph Ranciato was out first, followed by Scott Abrams, Caroline Hermesh and Lee Goldman, before the Day reached Level 21 (2,000/10,000/20,000). Bloch then eliminated Huu Vinh upon shoving on the 6th street for top two pairs:

Huu Vinh: {#}Q {#}J / {#}J {#}Q {#}7 {#}7 / {#}2
Andy Bloch: {#}A {#}A / {#}K {#}4 {#}Q {#}3 / {#}K

David Williams, who dropped down to be shortstack, finished in 4th place and the heads-up was set when Bloch eliminated Stephen Su, too, for a major edge over Greenstein:

Andy Bloch: 1,278,000
Barry Greenstein: 375,000

The short heads-up battle brought about a further increase in Bloch’s edge until they went all-in on the 5th street in the following hand:

Andy Bloch:
{#}Q {#}Q / {#}J {#}T {#}T {#}A / {#}K
Barry Greenstein:
{#}7 / {#}6 / {#}5 {#}4 {#}8 {#}2 / {#}A

Bloch won his first WSOP bracelet ever, along with a handsome $126,363.
