WSOP Event #37 and #38: ODB Barker and Dung Nguyen Win Bracelets

WSOP Event #37 $2,500 Eight-Game Mix Day 4 and Event #38 $1,500 No Limit Hold'em Day 3 were completed on Friday.

Only the heads-up was left for Day 4 of Event #37 $2,500 Eight-Game Mix, as the rest of the 8-handed final table was played the day before with the following setup:

Chris Viox, Christopher McHugh, Konstantin Puchkov, Donnacha O'Dea, Joseph Couden and Kevin Calenzo were eliminated in this order to leave Greg Mueller and David Baker return for a 4th day to finish the finale.

Greg Mueller: 2,655,000
David Baker: 925,000


Baker started off better, reducing his handicap gradually to eventually make it in the lead. After a major pot lost to Baker in Razz, Mueller dropped down to only 600,000 in chips, and they shoved on the 5th street in another Razz hand.

Baker: 2-T / A-6-7-3 / 5

21 players returned on Day 3 of Event #38 $1,500 No Limit Hold'em, with Jeffrey Manza in the chiplead (1,302,000). The 9-handed final table was set when Scott Clements got railed:

Tyler Patterson, Manza, Zachary Korik, Kristijonas Andrulis and 2 times WSOP champion David Pham were eliminated, followed by Blair Hinkle and Bahman Jahanguiri in 3rd place to give room for the heads-up between Dung Nguyen and Theo Tran.

Dung Nguyen: 8,159,000
Theo Tran: 3,100,000


Tran was unable to come back and they shoved in the last hand preflop.
