With all the buy-ins and rebuys, a total prize pool of $23.5 million was amassed. Players started with 100,000 in chips and the blinds kicked off at 500/500 with 30 minutes levels.
The top 12 finishes paid, the bubble boy was Du Yi Chen. The 8-handed final table was set with the elimination of JP Kelly, Di Dang, Philipp Gruissem and Alan Sass:
Phil Ivey started the finale as one of the shortest stacks and did not take long to shove due to the high blind level, pushing with K 6 . Tang Zheng called with K 9 and the board came 4 K J 5 3 .

Sam Trickett was out soon, too, shoving his remaining 700,000 in chips with A J . Stanley Choi called with pocket fives, improving to three of a kind on the flop and four of a kind on the turn. Lap Key Chan, John Juanda and Tang Zheng were eliminated after that, with the heads-up getting set when Nicholas Wong got railed.
Choi started with a 3-times edge over Zhu Guan Fai; in the last hand of the short HU, Fai shoved with pocket sixes only to meet Choi’s pocket tens on a neutral board. Stanley Choi hence got the $6.5 million first prize.
