Early into the game, Theo Jorgensen jumped to the top of the chipcount, doubling up with pocket rockets on Timothy Adams, who had AK. While Adams dropped significantly, it was Fabian Quoss finishing in 6th place, running into Philipp Gruissem’s QQ with KJ.
Mohsin Charania and Adams followed, with the heads-up getting set with the elimination of Gruissem. The hour-long duel was mostly dominated by Jorgensen but luck was with Salsberg, who doubled up twice. In the last hand, he had the lead and his pocket queens held out against Jorgensen’s QT, when shoving preflop.
Matt Salsberg
Salsberg won his first major tournament title, worth €400,000 and a $25,000 WPT Championship entry.
