The original concept has since undergone basic changes: first, the guaranteed prize pool got reduced to €20 million, then there were no more guarantees at all, while most lately, based on the newly available bits of information, there is no more a target number of 30,000 participants, while it is still possible for the first ISPT to become the biggest field event ever.
It has been announced that the first event days will be held online: for €300, players can buy in for Day 1A, 1B, 1C, 1D, 1E and 1F, but there are also satellites available from €1. On each day, the top 10% of the field makes it to Day 2. Day 1 events will be held from February through May, players start with 5,000 in chips and take their stacks further into the later days. Partner sites of the ISPT are Partouche Poker, NetBet Poker, Poker770 and Lock Poker.
Day 2 will be held on 1 June, already on the field of the Wembley Stadium at live tables. Direct buy-in will also be possible for Day 2 for €3,000, players receive 50,000 in chips for that. The final table will be played on 5 June.
In addition to the Main Event, there will be a number of side events as well, including a $10,900 High Roller and a $330 NLHE Turbo.
The ISPT Main Event will be live streamed in 38 countries and is advertised by players like David Benyamine, Sam Trickett and Michael ‘The Grinder’ Mizrachi.
