WSOP.com will be streaming live the final tables of the official golden bracelet events of the 2013 championship; together with ESPN, the channel to broadcast the events for those with a cable subscription within the US, two streams will be made available, when needed. The scheduled starting times are 13:00 PT (22:00 CET) and 14:00 PT (23:00 CET), but actual starts obviously depend on whether the events reached the final table by that time. A five minutes delay will be applied to streams without hole cards and 30 minutes to streams showing them.
From the two available streams, the primary features six cameras and an announcer plus analyst audio and will include flop games in most cases. An additional first in the history of the WSOP coverage is the showing of hole cards (30-minute delay). This is made possible with a radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology that employs an individual microchip in each card, essentially telling the sensors built into the tables the rank and suit of the cards. WSOP premiered the technology during the 2013-2013 WSOP Circuit and it is also used in various European casinos successfully.
The primary stream, featuring 35 golden bracelet events in 38 days, will be hosted by renowned poker anchor
David Tuchman, who will be joined by a number of pros and analysts throughout the championship. The first broadcast takes place on 30 May, with the Event #1 final table.
For days that see two final tables simultaneously, a secondary stream with four cameras and no studio audio will be employed. These streams will use the tournament director’s commentary and they will show no hole cards (5-minute delay) and non-flop action only for most of the time. ESPN viewers also need to watch these streams via WSOP.com.
