The first to be eliminated was Mark Gardner, followed later, among others, by Eastgate (80th), Antoine Saout (79th) and even Trickett (77th). The latter lost his chips in two consecutive hands on Level 19 (2,000/6,000/12,000): first, he opened to 83,000 on the 5-4-5-J board, Benoit Albiges shoved with 159,000 and Trickett called to show A-K. Albiges held A-J and the river came neutral. Trickett then open-shoved with 75,000 from UTG on J-6s, Andreas Constantinou called with A-J and the Brit’s hand did not improve.
Sam Trickett
