WSOP 2009 $50,000 World Championship HORSE winner David Bach occupied the top of the chipcount on WSOP 2013 Event #33 $2,500 Seven-Card Razz Day 3. The tournament started with 301 entrants and only 131 made it to Day 2, with Bach already in the lead. The bubble of 32 ITM finishes burst on the second day and only 14 players remained.

Day 3 started on Level 19 (1,500/6,000/12,000) and the early phase was marked by an error from the dealer, who dealt both Joel Alpert and Rick Fuller their cards face up on the seventh street. While the players were clearly frustrated by the fault, the hand was ruled to continue as normal by the floorman, both of them having the same disadvantage.

After the elimination of Tommy Chen, Sergey Altbregin, Alpert, Adam Szalay, Randy Ohel and Frankie O'Dell, the latter two in the same three-way hand against Sebastian Pauli, the following eight-handed Final Table was drawn:

Seat 1: Brent Keller – 181,000
Seat 2: Ismael Bojang – 110,000
Seat 3: Sebastian Pauli – 484,000
Seat 4: Jim Wheatley – 460,000
Seat 5: Ivan Schertzer – 320,000
Seat 6: David Bach – 73,000
Seat 7: Bryan Campanello – 442,000
Seat 8: Rick Fuller – 184,000

First out was Ismael Bojang, followed by Fuller, Brent Keller, Ivan Schertzer and Pauli. On Level 26 (7,000/30,000/60,000), chipleader Bryan Campanello limped, Jim Wheatley raised and Campanello 3-bet. The continued raising until both of them moved all-in and Campanello’s nine low eliminated Wheatley and gave Campanello an about 3:1 lead over Bach.

Bryan Campanello – 1,800,000
David Bach – 480,000

The game was over soon on Level 27 (10,000/40,000/80,000).

Bach: 9-5 / 3-4-K-3 / 5
Campanello: A-3 / 4-4-6-T / 8

Campanello won his first ever WSOP bracelet with an 8-6 low.
