Of the 400 players, who registered to WSOP 2013 Event #41 $5,000 Pot Limit Omaha Six Handed, 117 survived Day 1. The prize pool was $1,880,000 and it got to be distributed among the top 42 finishers. The money bubble burst on Day 2 and several notable players finished ITM, including Chad Brown (39th), Dan Smith (38th), Juha Helppi (36th), Daniel Negreanu (34th), Matt Giannetti (33rd), Freddy Deeb (27th), Shaun Deeb (26th) and Davidi Kitai (24th).

22 participants remained in play for Day 3, led by online MTT professional Steve ‘gboro780’ Gross (stack: 526,000). He had on his tail the likes of Yevgeniy Timoshenko, Trevor Pope and Sorel Mizzi to guarantee an exciting final tournament day.

Play started on Level 19 (4,000/8,000) and eliminations came quick. Mizzi was out in 16th place, his nine trips being cracked by Tony Gargano’s set of queens. Pope finished 13th and Timoshenko bubbled the final table in 7th, moving all-in with two pairs and meeting Timo Pfutzenreuter’s flopped straight that even improved to a full house on the turn and river.

The Final Table seat draw was as follows:

Seat 1: Timo Pfutzenreuter – 1,970,000
Seat 2: Joseph Leung – 855,000
Seat 3: Nader Arfai – 660,000
Seat 5: Lee Goldman – 1,185,000
Seat 6: Steve Gross – 590,000
Seat 7: Salman Behbehani – 745,000

Nader Arfai was out first, his set of fives cracked by Gross’s straight on Level 25 (15,000/30,000). ‘Gboro780’ then moved on to rail Lee Goldman in 5th and Joseph Leung in 4th in two consecutive hands, before knocking out Pfutzenreuter as well to have only Salman Behbehani left at the table.

Steve Gross – 3,505,000
Salman Behbehani – 2,500,000

While Behbehani was able to narrow the gap, Gross maintained his lead and, towards the end, increased it to about 5.5 million in chips against over 400,000. On Level 28 (30,000/60,000), it was all over: Gross opened to 180,000 from the Button, Behbehani 3-bet all-in with 380,000 and Gross called.
