WSOP 2013 - Event #47 - 2 Places Away From the Money

The second day of the WSOP Event #47 - <a href="http://www.rakerace.com/news/poker-tournaments/wsop-2013-47-111-111-little-one-started/"><strong>Little One tournament started with 108 players</strong></a>, lead by the 2010 WSOP Main Event 10th place finisher, Brandon Steven with 1,398,000 chips. He was followed by the EPT Grand Final High Roller champion Tobias Reinkemeier, who was sitting on a a 1,225,000 stack.

The top 24 places are paid at the tournament; which the players didn't reach, 26 players remained by the end of the day. Some of the biggest names were eliminated along the way including Keven Stammen, Steve O'Dwyer, Cole South, Vanessa Selbst, Justin Bonomo, Niklas Heinecker, Layne Flack, Joseph Cheong, Maxim Lykov, Bertrand Grospellier, Jason Mercier, Jake Cody, John Juanda, Brian Hastings, Ben Lamb, Igor Kurganov, Gus Hansen, Daniel Negreanu, Galen Hall, Eugene Katchalov, Dan Kelly and even Reinkemeier lost his monster of a stack.

The Swedish pro Martin Jacobson collected the majority of the chips (3,255,000) for the chiplead. He is chased by Florida State Poker Championship champion Connor Drinan (3,250,000).

Antonio Esfandiari

Last year's $1,000,000 Big One champion Antonio Esfandiari is currently 5th in the chipcount with 2,970,000 chips. It would be an outstanding achievement for the three-time WSOP champion American if he could win the Little One after last year's Big One.

Day 3 will kick off on the 21st blind level (10,000-30,000/60,000), the average stack is 1,915,385.
