WSOP 2013 - Event #49, Event #50 - Boatman and Wong Win Bracelets

The WSOP Event #49 - $1,500 NLHE tournament Day 3 was started with the participation of the 21 remaining players. The 9-handed final table formulated on the 25th blind level (5,000-15,000/30,000).

Roger Lussier, Noah Sandler, Paul Dasilva, Robin Ylitalo and Aditya Prasetyo were eliminated before Taras Kripp finished 4th. Kripp went all-in with his K-4 with 875,000 chips as a shortstack on the 27th blind level (5,000-25,000/50,000). The BB Brian O'Donoghue called with A-J, and even though a king fell on the turn, O'Donoghue hit his straight on the river.

Soon Barny Boatman doubled up with a set of fives on O'Donoghue's king overpair, with which he took the chiplead. The heads-up formulated with the elimination of Van Tran, who lost to O'Donoghue's A-K with J-T.

O'Donoghue managed to get a 2:1 advantage on Boatman, but was able to get back up, by the 30th blind level (10,000-50,000-100,000) he lead by 2:1.

The tournament was decided in a flip. Boatman raised to 240,000, O'Donoghue 3bet to 550,000, Boatman 4bet to 1,100,000, O'Donoghue went all-in Boatman called.

The eliminated players were Loren Klein, Scott Abrams and Christopher George, the heads-up was set with the elimination of Philip Sternheimer.

Wong took the lead with several Stud hands, Saffari started out the last hand with only 180,000 chips. In the NLHE hand Saffari went all-in with {#}8 {#}6 , Wong made an easy call with {#}A {#}A , the dealer dealt a dry board.

Brandon Wong lost a WSOP heads-up in 2007, now he didn't let that happen and won the bracelet with his $220,061 first prize.
