First out was Tyler Cornell, losing his stack with jacks to PCA 2010 $25,000 High Roller 4th finisher Dutch pro, Michiel Brummelhuis and his queens. Dane pro Simon Ravnsbaek came next in 67th place and FTOPS Main Event champion Yann Dion in 66th. Dion was eliminated by a cooler in a hand against Nicolas Le Floch: on Level 26 (5,000/25,000/50,000), he opened to 100,000 from CO, Le Floch 3-bet to 225,000 from the Button, Dion 4-bet to 400,000 and Le Floch called. The flop came T 9 3, Dion bet 250,000, Le Floch raised to 650,000, Dion shoved his remaining 1,155,000 and Le Floch called.
Dion: K K
Le Floch: A T
Turn: A

Le Floch’s flopped top pair improved to a full house to crack Dion’s over pair.

On Level 29 (10,000/50,000/100,000), IPT San Remo champion and EPT 2012 Grand Final 4th finisher Sergio Castelluccio opened to 200,000 from MP and WSOP 2012 $3,000 NLHE runner-up Jackie Glazier pushed all-in with 1,975,000 in chips. Castelluccio called.
Glazier: A Q
Castelluccio: T T
Board: 9 9 9 5 K
Castelluccio had his full house on the flop and, as the last lady in this year’s Main Event field, Glazier finished in 31st place.
In the last hand of the day, George Wong lost his stack with A-J to Anton Morgenstern, who tabled pocket nines on the neutral board. This gave the German a commanding lead over his fellow remaining 26 players, bagging 21,955,000 in chips.
Of the favourites, JC Tran and Carlos Mortensen have fared the best, coming back to behind 11,970,000 and 10,790,000 in chips, respectively. Castelluccio and Timoshenko have also made it through, even though the Ukrainian ace dropped down to 5,310,000. Shortstack of Day 7 will be David ‘Raptor’ Benefield, another of the most recognised players in the field. Tomorrow, the fate of the nine seats of the Final Table will be decided.
