WSOP 2013 - Main Event - Day 1A is Concluded

World Series of Poker (WSOP) 2013 Event #62 $10,000 No Limit Hold'em Main Event has launched with Day 1A. 943 entrants registered to the tournament and 584 of them survived to return on Day 2, with Evan Panesis in the lead.

On Saturday, WSOP 2013 Event #62 $10,000 No Limit Hold'em Main Event kicked off with 943 entrants paying the buy-in on Day 1A. Several renowned professionals were found in the field, including Main Event Champion title holder Greg Merson, who shouted “Shuffle up and deal” to launch the tournament, as well as Joe Cada, Pius Heinz, Olivier Busquet, Brian Rast, Justin Bonomo, Elio Fox, Ivan Demidov, Richard Lyndaker, Dominik Nitsche, John Hennigan, Phil Galfond and Martin Staszko.

Of the 943 entrants, 574 secured their seats for Day 2. In the chiplead sits Evan Panesis with 190,975 in chips. Panesis has so far scored two registered major live tournament results, a 4th finish in a WSOPC 2009 side event and a 10th in the WSOP 2010 $5,000 NLHE Six Handed tournament.

Among the most notable players, Sergio Castelluccio ranks the highest: the EPT Grand Finale 4th finisher is also fourth here with a stack of 175,825.
