Next in the SuperStar Showdown: Jungleman12!

At PokerStars, Daniel Cates is better known as ’w00ki3z,’ his other screen name. Nonetheless, he is officially the next opponent of the room’s latest pro, the Swedish Viktor Blom, who also turned out to be behind the near-legendary screen name Isildur1. Cates is the third to challenge Blom in the site’s series, the SuperStar Showdown, which is specifically organised to have Isildur1 face the biggest names of online poker.

In the previous two instalments, the Swede first got beaten by Isaac Haxton, losing around $40,000, then won about $44,000 from Tony G in the second round, showing a minor profit in total. It will be interesting to see how he fares against one of the most successful players of 2010: Daniel Cates finished the last year on the top of HighStakesDB’s profit list.
