The European network Ongame, giving home to 25 poker rooms like Betfair, EuroPoker and RedKings claims it will be beneficial for business, and for players playing in the network as well.
Shuffle Master’s Chief Strategy Officer Louis Castle told PokerFuse that “the acquisition of Ongame will provide Shuffle Master with world class poker software and an entire enterprise with proven skills and the operational experience that will permit us to begin immediately offering state-of-the-art B2B online products following the closing of the acquisition,” therefore the deal is very helpful for both parties.
Bwin.party reported last year that they are going to sell their "surplus asset", the Ongame Network, and hoped they can do so in 2011, but they had to wait until now for the deal to be struck.
Shuffle Master does not stop at serving the EU players well, they are planning to play a key role in the United States online poker market if it is legalized. The company is amongst the 12 poker providers who already applied for a license in Nevada.
