As we have written before, Isildur1 lost the first match against Isaac ’philivey2694’ Haxton. Although the secret-identity PokerStars pro would have liked a rematch, he had to take on his new challenger, Tony G.
Isildur1, the PokerStars Pro
The match against Tony G was played at two NLHE and two PLO tables on 2nd January. It came as a surprise, that at the NLHE tables, where Isildur1 was considered much better, the results almost showed a draw, as the Swede only managed to make $500 in 1,250 hands. This way, it was the outcome at the PLO tables that constituted the results:
PLO Table 1:
Tony G - $114,150 profit
PLO Table 2:
Isildur1 - $158,470 profit
Isildur won with $44,820 profit altogether.
Tony G has tried everything, even going 5-bet all-in with $30,250 holding K6, but Isildur1 was dealt pocket Kings and snap-called. Tony G’s hand did not improve on the neutral board.
The Lithuanian has spoken about the match, stating very appreciatively that Isildur1’s victory had been justified and declared that Isildur1 was unquestionably a better player.
