On the 23rd day of the WCOOP series two tournaments ended, the $215 NLHE and the $5,200 NLHE Main Event. The $215 event ended with the victory of a Canadian player, 'jakz101', who took home $281,524 without a deal while the Main Event was won by a freeroll qualifier, Maratik.
The top 255 places paid in the tournament, the first prize was set to be $1,612,843.75. The Russian player who usually plays SNGs and plays at lower stakes won $1,000,907, which is clearly a life-changing amount of money compared to Maratik's $11,000 total profit at SNG tables.
As the final 6 decided to strike a deal, the 4th place finisher Mike 'munchenHB' Telker won almost as much money as the victorious Maratik.
