In short, the company would offer insurance for your cash game all-in hands: players who paid for the service could get reimbursed for their lost equity if they had been the favourite in an all-in hand and lost with a bad beat, basically. The insurer would work for a fee, deducted from the insured amount.
After finishing testing in May the same year, InsuredPlay kicked off its real money services. While many players were enthusiastic and they kept giving feedback to the company and receiving modifications and updates in return, most of them remained sceptic nevertheless. These players saw the insurance as little more than additional costs, so the clientele has never spread wide; this was apparent from the fact that the company started with support for the clients of PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker, iPoker and PartyPoker but removed all but PokerStars this April (with Full Tilt returning in June).
This might be the main reason for the operator shutting down, as announced lately. InsuredPlay, however, did not provide details, except for “a number of difficulties that [the company has] not been able to overcome.”
Players’ money in their InsuredPlay accounts are safe and will be paid out in full. Nevertheless, it is worth initiating a withdrawal as soon as possible, as the operator only serves request before 30 September.s until 30 September.
