Recently, Skrill users have become targets of a similar attack once again. The text of the letter is almost identical to the one used against Neteller account holders and reads as follows:
"Dear xxxxx,
We would like to inform you that your account is pending closure for failing to accept the new Skrill (Moneybookers) Account Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy until the 4th of March, 2014.
This is your last and final warning. To avoid account closure, please follow the link below and confirm your personal information. Failing to do so until the 4th of March, 2014 will be considered a denial of our terms and conditions and your account will be permanently closed.

Enjoy using Skrill (Moneybookers)!
Best wishes,
Skrill (Moneybookers)"
The link in the letter leads to a fake Skrill site, where users are asked first to provide their password and then personal and bank account information. Remember: never provide these details! Legit companies never ask for them this way.
Phishing scammers create fake e-mails and websites to access confidential information, passwords, access codes, bank account numbers and so on from users who respond to the convincingly official-looking notification.
