As it turns out, the Brits did actually win quite a number of awards, including the most coveted Player of the Year title, which went to Jake Cody, 2010 winner of EPT Deauville and WPT London. Moreover, he was also chosen Rookie of the Year. Additional players from the UK to win a title were EPT San Remo champion Liv Boeree (Europe’s Leading Lady) and WSOPE Main Event winner James Bord (Outstanding Tournament Performance).

Although English players were nominated in each of the categories, no more awards were setting sail for across the channel. Norwegian PLO specialist Andreas ‘skjervoy’ Torbergsen became Internet Player of the Year, while Spanish Gerard Serra Retamero was awarded Poker Staff Person of the Year. The Rob Gardner Memorial Award for the Poker Personality of 2010 went to Tony Guoga aka Tony G, while Nick Nzeremeta was voted to earn the Lifetime Achievement Award.
